Chloe Adamczyk (she/her) Anne Frank has long been a dream role of Chloe’s and she is overjoyed to finally be bringing such a multifaceted character to stage. This is Chloe’s second production with the EastLine Theatre team and she is thrilled to finally working with them again! Past credits include Rivkele (God of Vengeance). As always, she would like to thank her entire family, friends, and especially Mikolaj for the endless support.
Michael Devereaux (he/him) is ecstatic to be a part of this production of The Diary of Anne Frank, an important show being performed at an important time. This is his first show with EastLine and is unbelievably grateful to have been welcomed in with open arms by everyone involved. He would like to thank his family and friends for all their support, FP, and Miranda!
Peter Goike III (he/him) is excited to be treading the boards once again with EastLine and with this incredible cast, albeit for a short time. In addition to acting Peter is also a director and has directed many shows over the years. You can see him next on stage with the Carlyle Players in their production of Don’t Drink the Water in April. Many thanks to this cast and everyone at EastLine for trusting me to carry this role for the time I have. Break legs to everyone involved! Allons-y!
Victoria Kay (she/her) is a Long Island actress with a BFA degree earned at Five Towns College. Favorite roles she’s taken on in the past include Florence in Waiting for Lefty, Mandy in Time Stands Still and Mr. Bungee in A New Brain. In addition to acting, she loves to sing opera! Victoria previously appeared as Maeve in EastLine’s production of Dance Nation.
Lee Kurfist (he/him) is excited to be part of another EastLine Theatre production. I hope we got this right and left the audience with an emotional gut punch. Recent roles include Sgt. Carlino (Wait Until Dark) for Studio Theatre, Mr. Marks (Intimate Apparel) for EastLine Theatre, and Juror #11 (Twelve Angry Men) for The Minstrel Players; as well as numerous student production films and one-act play festivals. Huge thanks to Matt Rosenberg and the entire EastLine team and especially to director Danny Higgins for allowing me to add this curmudgeon to my list of characters. Kudos to my wonderful and talented castmates…a real pleasure to share the stage with you! And to Marisa, my very patient wife, mille grazie! I dedicate this performance to the enduring memory of Jeff Bennett, founder of the Bare Bones Theater Company.
Melanie Lipton (she/her) has been associated with EastLine since 2018, and is honoured to be part of this production. Favourite credits include Angels in America, Parts 1 & 2 (Hannah, et al.), Indecent/God of Vengeance (Sara, et al.), The Laramie Project, Sweeney Todd (Mrs. Lovett), The Crucible (Elizabeth Proctor), Company (Joanne), Nine (Luisa), and Bat Boy (Meredith). She has appeared in regional, stock, and dinner theatre here and in the Midwest, and spent two seasons as a choreographer and teacher at Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Center.
Clare Lowell (she/her) is delighted to be returning to BACCA as part of EastLine’s stellar Anne Frank cast, and is grateful for the opportunity to work under the direction of the incomparable Danny Higgins. Her last performance on this stage was as M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, but recent favorites include Enchanted April, Prescription: Murder, The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, Who’s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf?, The Gingerbread Lady, and Beauty and the Beast. She’s also appeared in several independent films as well as an award-winning Hershey commercial, but you can find her performing stand-up comedy at clubs all over Long Island and New York City (see clarelowellcomedy on both IG and FB for dates). As always, her heartfelt thanks go out to all who take the time and effort to support her, but none more so than husband Larry and daughters Bridget and Caity.
Ted Moriates (he/him) is extremely proud to be working with such a talented group of people. He graduated with a BA in Theatre/Drama from Queens College. Some of his favorite roles include, Claud in Hair, Macheath in Three Penny Opera, Johnny in Frankie and Johnny in the Clare De Lune, and if you blinked you missed him as the Waiter in Dame Edna, The Royal Tour. Ted would like to thank his husband, Joe McCarthy for always supporting him in all of his endeavors no matter how crazy they may be.
Staci Rosenberg-Simons (she/her) There are no words to describe what this play, this whole process has meant to me. It doesn’t matter what I’ve appeared in before, for I have never done anything like this. I am humbled and motivated by this dedicated and passionate ensemble whom I’ve grown to love. And I am in awe of the brave heart who led us through this challenge and never left us to bear it alone. Danny Higgins: we are ready to burn this ship down! I do it all for the family I love, have lost, and who would never know me- but I will never forget them. Peace and love to you all.
Michael John Ruggiere (he/him) Invoking visceral experiences from viewers during creative endeavors has always been the goal. Challenge: finding the humanity that is instrumental in a setting where the characters are on the verge of being denied it based on caste. Thank you, Angela Defreitas, who encouraged me to embark on this journey with EastLine. Special thanks to one of the best understudies one could ask for, Peter Goike III. And to Barbara Tierno, whose eyes inspire me every day with perceptive observations that make me strive to be a more mindfully considerate person on stage and off. Performances of The Diary of Anne Frank I dedicate to late service veteran and brother in song; Jack Randazzo.
Gary Tifeld (he/him) Previous EastLine: Gross Indecency (Oscar Wilde), Incident at Vichy (Prince), Wanda’s Visit (Jim), Indecent, The Truth (Roland), and Angels in America (Roy Cohn). Recent credits include Into the Woods (Narrator/Mysterious Man), A Time to Kill (Rodeheaver), and The Laramie Project (Dennis Shepard). A few other favorite roles include Vanya in Vanya…Spike, Flynn in Doubt, and Sidney in Deathtrap. Many other plays and musicals, including more than a few Neil Simons and Agatha Christies. OOB: The Matchmaker and the American premiere of Velazquez. Training: High School of the Performing Arts, HB Studios, and Weist-Barron. Thanks to Danny and this amazing cast/team for the privilege, all of you for the support, and to Rob for everything else. “Ikh vid di dozike forshtelung lzkhr mayne zeyde-bobe”.
Danny Higgins (he/they) has been making theatre with EastLine Theatre since 2011. Selected other credits include Angels in America. The Glass Menagerie, Indecent, Amadeus, Buried Child, and the original musical Prospero (Live!) for which he also wrote the book. He is a NYSCA sponsored artist. He dedicates his work to two people, one of which is his elementary school principal Mr Mcquillen.
Matt Rosenberg (he/him) has been working in Long Island theatre for 15 years as a stage manager, director, and actor. He has stage managed over a hundred productions across Long Island, and has been with EastLine since 2015. As an actor, Matt has appeared in The Normal Heart (Tommy Boatwright), The Butler Did It (Louie Fan), Dance Nation (Dance Teacher Pat) and Antigone (Messenger), among other appearances as a Butler, including most recently in Being Earnest. By day, he works in the Great Neck School district.
