Genevieve K. Henderson, Morgan Moffitt, Stephanie Moreno,
Julia Navarro, Juancho Rodriguez, Matthew Rubenfeld
Genevieve K. Henderson (she/her) is so excited to be making her EastLine Debut! She is an actor and dramaturg with a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University, and an MLitt/MFA from the Shakespeare and Performance Program at Mary Baldwin University. Previous credits include Complete Works Abridged (American Shakespeare Center), Treasure Island (Endstation Theatre Company), Knight of the Burning Pestle, The Beau Defeated, and The Spanish Tragedy (Meadowlark Shakespeare Players).
Morgan Moffitt (they/them) is thrilled to be a part of this production! They are an actor/technician originally from Texas, who graduated from Adelphi University in 2016 and has been working around Long Island and NYC since then. Currently they are a wardrobe technician at Sleep No More and Blue Man Group. EastLine holds a special place in their heart and they are honored to be a part of this brilliant cast. Major thanks to Paul for taking a chance on them, any family/friends in the audience, and to their stunning partner whose birthday is happening during this run. Happy birthday!
Stephanie Moreno (she/her) is a Brazilian-American actress and comedian based in NY. Always looking for ways to bring her culture to center stage, she is excited for her first performance with EastLine Theatre during Hispanic Heritage Month. Experienced in stand up, improv, and devising, she has collaborated in countless new works presented at the Theater for The New City, The Tank, The Player’s Theatre, and more, as well as classics at regional and educational theaters. Stephanie hopes to continue to have the opportunity to bolster new voices in theater and in life. www.stephaniejmoreno.com
Julia Navarro (she/her) is a performer originally from Spain but now based in NYC. Julia is thrilled to return to EastLine for the third consecutive year and is profoundly grateful for this opportunity. She is especially honored to perform again in a hispanic show, thus being able to emphasize the importance of learning about Hispanic culture and heritage. Her boundless love for acting transforms every challenge into a rewarding experience. Julia dedicates these performances to both her loved ones in Spain and her chosen family in New York, whose unwavering support is a constant source of happiness. Enjoy the show!
Juancho Rodriguez (he/him) is an actor and award-winning filmmaker. He has been writing, directing, and producing films while collaborating on several of John Leguizamo’s screen and theatre projects. Rodriguez played the role of Jason in The Brunch Club, Benito in Jose Rivera’s References to Salvador Dalà Make Me Hot, and Nicholas in Heston-Gable. He is the writer, director, and producer of the documentary short In Human Kind, co-director of Talking In Your Sleep starring Leguizamo, and producer on the upcoming feature film Shadow Vaults.
Matthew Rubenfeld (he/him) is a 23 year-old filmmaker, musician, and writer from Long Island. This is his first EastLine production and he is looking forward to being part of more.
Lyn Adler(she/her) being a fashion-plate punk rocker in the early 80s was only possible on a teenager’s budget by learning how to sew. Thus began a lifelong passion for all things fabric, thread, needles and pins. Costuming actors from NYC to Idaho to Atlanta and now, at EastLine, is a privilege. Big thanks to an ultra-creative mom who handed over the keys to her trusty Singer way back when.
Paul DeFilippo (he/him) is a writer / director / occasional sound designer from Queens. For EastLine Theatre, he previously directed Dance Nation last year and Hamlet this past summer. He wrote and directed a full-length sci-fi comedy film, Policy, for EastLine’s Muse Anthology project in 2021. He dedicates this production to the memories of both Sophie Treadwell and Frida Kahlo, whose turbulent lives and uncompromising works inspired the images and sounds of this production.
Michelle Osojnak (she/her) is thrilled to be making her stage managing debut with a theatre company she loves so much. Michelle is a Queens-based actor and teacher who has appeared in EastLine productions of An Oresteia, Or What We Have Seen; The Two Gentlemen of Verona; These Gilded Souls; The Merry Wives of Windsor, and most recently Hamlet. She has been so lucky to work again with both Paul and Nicole, and this time in an entirely new capacity behind the scenes. The cast has been so kind and supportive her first time around, and she already can’t wait for the next show! Thank you Paul, Nicole, the cast of Machinal for having faith in me to ‘get it just right.’
Nicole Savin (she/her) is EastLine’s Artistic Director and has directed productions of God of Vengeance, Men on Boats, The Truth, Treasure Island, Trouble in Mind, and Pride & Prejudice. She holds a BA (Hons) from Royal Holloway, University of London in Drama and Theatre Studies. She is an Associate Director with By Jove Theatre, on the literary team at The Playwrights Realm, and sits on the advisory board for the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts. With gratitude to Dr. Victoria Gorton for doing a very tedious task.
