Allen Winter (he/him) is glad to be performing live theatre again and revisiting the first Shakespeare plays he performed. Selected Credits; with EastLine: A Midsummer Night’s Dream / Macbeth, Treasure Island, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Seminar, King Charles III, Frost / Nixon, Titus Andronicus. Voice Acting: Pokémon Sun & Moon, God Complex, My Time at Portia, Meet Cute. He thanks the EastLine team and is happy to be reunited with them. Plays a mean melodica too.
Bailey C Elis (he/they) is making his return to the Eastline stage. A graduate of Five Towns College, some stage credits include Spring Awakening (Ensemble; Hanschen u/s), Merchant of Venice (Lorenzo), and Committed: The Musical (Staged reading; various roles). Film credits include The Search for the Mortician’s Apprentice (Rupert), Quarantine, Actually (Nolan) and Taquitos (short film; Chaz). Bailey has also appeared in several cabarets, including Seth Bisen-Hersh’s showcase, GeekLifeRules’ Cosplay Cabaret, and Trans Voices Cabaret.
Barbara Tierno (she/her) has enjoyed her return to the stage in EastLine’s production of Romeo & Juliet. Her most recent work includes contributing to EastLine’s Environmental Elegies, as well as last year’s online performance of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, as Kristine Linde. As for when she’s not on stage – she enjoys volunteering for a local non-profit, writing poetry and painting. She would like to thank her mom and her dog, Max, for being supportive of her schedule.
Christine Nelson (she/her) is thrilled to be playing Juliet’s Nurse for her debut performance with EastLine Theatre. She has also worked with numerous other LI companies including Studio Theatre, Bare Bones, Smithtown CPA, Star Playhouse, Synergy Ensemble, Arena Players, and the Merrick Theatre. Her most recent performance was in the New York premiere of Acme: The Company that Makes Everything with Theatre Out of Bounds at Studio Theatre. Other roles include Sisters Rosensweig, Fools, Spoon River Anthology, Steel Magnolias, Sly Fox, Brooklyn Boy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Dining Room, Lovers and Other Strangers, and Inherit the Wind. Christine is also an ensemble member of several local Improv groups including The Alchemists, and Cherry Bomb Improv. Christine has directed and produced over 30 productions with the Schreiber Theatre Company at Schreiber HS in Port Washington, where she has been a teacher for the past 20 years. She was trained at the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center and holds an MA in Theatre Education from NYU.

Giovanni Marine (he/him) has had a passion for acting that started in high school. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to play various roles from classic musicals to classical texts. Giovanni is grateful for the opportunity and excited to perform as Romeo in Romeo & Juliet with this talented cast. Giovanni would like to give thanks to Jesus for the continuous blessings, his loving family for their support, The Lee Strasberg Institute for the technique and last but not least Danny Higgins for the opportunity to put on a piece that has always been near to my heart. Some previous favorite roles include Raul (Extremities), Touchstone (As You Like It), Tartuffe (Tartuffe), Frederick (Young Frankenstein), Robbie Hart (The Wedding Singer), Bernard (Boeing, Boeing), Chris (All My Sons), Julio (Motherf*cker with the Hat), Jesus (Godspell), Clifford (Deathtrap), Petruchio (Taming of the Shrew), Jeff Douglas (Brigadoon), Sam (Fully Committed), Ben (No Villain) and Seymour Krelborn (Little Shop of Horrors). “With Patience and Faith We Remain Unafraid.”
Jess Reed (she/her) is a performer, designer, and director from Long Island, NY. She has hopped around the globe several times in the last fifteen years and only recently returned to her hometown. She has appeared at EastLine Theatre in several productions, including their foray into the virtual as Nora Helmer in A Doll’s House. Other favorite roles include Edith (Pirates of Penzance), Percy Talbot (The Spitfire Grill), Isabelle Grossman (Crossing Delancey), and Sally Brown (You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown). Jess is a current cast member of Hunt for the Heart Shards and From the Siren’s Song, with Love with SlaydiesATL on Twitch. She can be found on Twitter as @bardicbelle and at jess-reed.com.
John Brautigam (he/him) is a composer, lyricist, and musician based on Long Island. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and serves as Composer-in-Residence at EastLine Theatre and Music Director/Co-Founder of the Long Island Silent Film Orchestra (LISFO). His recent original musical theater works include A Constellation, Diary of a Pirate, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, and Prospero (LIVE); a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. Luke Noderer (he/him) is an artist, inventor, and toymaker. He lives in Huntington with his wife, two children, three cats, one dog, and thirteen fish: Fishy, Fishlin, Blue, Ghostey, Lemons, Mike, Mike, Mike, and Mike, Melissa, Dottie Reynolds, Bobby, and Exquisito Mustachio. After a seventeen year hiatus, this production marks his return to the theatrical stage.
Lynda Gaug (she/her) is thrilled to be in this production with this amazing cast and crew. Before the shutdown, Lynda was Ethel in Merrick Theatre’s On Golden Pond. Other favorite roles include Baron Van Swieten (Amadeus), Oberon (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Diana (California Suite), Fraulein Schneider (Cabaret), Rebecca Nurse (The Crucible) and Dottie (Noises Off). Love to Paul, Melissa, Andrew, and our precious boys. Many thanks to Danny, Matt, Lynn, John, and my ninth grade English teacher who planted the seeds of love for Shakespeare.
Michael John Ruggiere (he/him) holds a B.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts and is making his return to the stage as Tybalt in addition to reprising the role of the apothecary in Fair Verona. In addition to essential work as a first responder during the pandemic Michael sits on the Board of the Metropolitan Greek Chorale and is the second vice president of Suffolk’s First Lion’s club. Michael Ruggiere also performs with the Hibernian Festival Singers, Twin Shores Chorus and the Harbormen Chorus.
Paul DeFilippo (he/him) is an actor, director, playwright, and occasional set designer from Queens, NY. He is a Creative Associate at EastLine Theatre, and created a full-length film, Policy, as part of EastLine’s Muse Anthology earlier this year. At Queens College, he has acted in productions of Gloria, Machinal, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. He has also directed productions of Three Sisters and The Crucible.
Spencer McLaughlin (he/him) is ecstatic to return to the stage as Paris after a long and idle quarantine. Spencer began performing in live theatre and behind the camera in high school and has been pursuing it passionately since. Some of his past roles include Moritz in Spring Awakening, Eddie McCuen in The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940 and he is an active haunter at NYC’s premier haunted house Blood Manor. Spencer would like to thank his family and friends for their continued support.
Stefanie Jade Workman (she/her) is an interdisciplinary artist from Freeport, NY. She earned a Cum Laude bachelor’s degree majoring in Theatre and a minor in Asian Studies from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Recent acting credits include Hermione (Shakespeare in Isolation by Nick López and Jessica López Barkl), Eurydice (Virtual Theatre Collaboration), and the Constable in Henry V (SUNY New Paltz). Her current creative focus is on storytelling and the development of diversity within the performing arts realm. She is the proud Co-Founder and President of Don’t Tell Amy Productions LLC.
