Joey Carlinoย (he/him) A passionate and dedicated 13-year-old performer, Joey is already celebrating his 23rd production on stage. With a love for storytelling and a natural presence in the spotlight, he brings energy, heart, and professionalism to every role he takes on. Whether in musicals or plays, he continues to grow as a young artist, always eager to learn, collaborate, and captivate audiences. He thanks the amazing production team for this opportunity as well as his fellow cast and crew members for being so incredible to work with!
Cordelia Comandoย (she/her) is so excited to be making her EastLine Theatre debut. She is a singer, musician and actress who has performed in numerous productions on both stage and screen. Some of her favorite roles include Annie (Annie), and Susan (Miracle on 34th Street). She has also appeared on Netflix with John Mulaney, and a Wayfair commercial alongside Kelly Clarkson. She would like to thank the staff of EastLine for giving her this opportunity to perform, and the wonderful cast who she is proud to perform along with. A big thank you to her family for their never ending love and support.
Susan Dorsey (she/her) was last seen on stage in 2019 in EastLine Theatreโs production of Stop Kiss. Past favorite roles include Brooke in Other Desert Cities, Lindsay in Some Girls, Catherine in Proof, and Alexa in As Bees in Honey Drown. She is grateful to John Torres for encouraging her to return to acting, and she thanks this wonderful cast and crewโitโs been a blast.
Harrison Grimmย (he/him) Harry is excited to be making his acting debut as Franz in Appropriate with EastLine Theatre. He is a former MMA competitor and a current mental health provider. He thanks his family and his “daughter” Noodle for their support.
Megan Jeterย (she/her) is a little clown who lives in a little house with her cat in Islip, NY. Some say she graduated from NYU Tischโs New Studio on Broadway, but others say she just learned how to be a good person ๐ She is so grateful to be working with EastLine and stretching her dramatic muscles for a change, after primarily performing in Commedia DellโArte musicals with Soft Brain Theatre Company in NYC for the past 5 years. I owe everything I am to those who encourage my soft brain and warm heart.
David Edward Keenย (he/him) Coming to acting via filmmaking and musical composition, David studied composition and violin performance at Purchase College in the 1990s. His mentor, bassist and composer Alvin Brehm, first inspired considering the links between music and cinema. David is a member of the Filmmakers’ Cooperative catalog in NYC. His first acting opportunity was with EastLine Theatre, playing Russian dissident Alexander Litvinenko in Lucy Prebbleโs A Very Expensive Poison. Freelancing as a violinist, David also maintains a teaching studio of violin and composition students.
Matthew Rubenfeldย (he/him) is happy to be back at EastLine for the third time. He was last seen in An Enemy of the People (Horster) and Machinal (Prosecutor and others). He thanks his family and his day-ones as well as new friends and everybody who listens to him talk about his little plays. He’s grateful to John, Nicole, Michelle, and his castmates for allowing him to be weird. Ruby loves you.
Sarah Elizabeth Spagnuoloย (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of the Appropriate cast! Past theater credits include It’s My Brooklyn, Too! (Del); A Midsummer Nightโs Dream (Titania); Whoโs Afraid of Virginia Woolf (Honey); Comedy of Errors (Adrianna). Thank you to my loving and supportive family, my incredible fiancรฉ Harley, and this amazing cast and crew!

This September: Federico Garcรญa Lorcaโs aching portrait of one womanโs longing to have a child finds fresh expression in Melinda Lopezโs adaptation. Consumed by her dream of motherhood, Yerma defies her husband and confronts her community. In this darkly poetic fable, Yermaโs obsessive desire propels her into a collision with the universe that is urgent and terrible in scope. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

John Torresย (he/him)ย appreciates this opportunity to direct again at EastLine, after Hand to God, Kimberly Akimbo, and a couple of playlets in All in the Timing. Most recently, he served as Artistic Director for several original short play festivals, directing many of them. For The Collectiveโs Sweat, he was recognized as Best Director (along with Best Play) by BroadwayWorld Long Island. John thanks this cast and crew for their limitless dedication and humbling talent, as well as his wife Lucy, without whom none of this ever happens.
Michelle Osojnak (she/her) is a teacher by day, actor by evening and weekend. Third timeโs the charm stage managing for EastLine! You may have seen Michelle starring in some EastLine Summer Theatre productions, most recently Emma and King Lear. Other credits include roles as Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Gloria/Nan in Gloria, and Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible. She loves this company dearly, extending all her thanks to Nicole for her guidance and support during this process; and thanks to John for trusting her with this responsibility for his poignant and funny production.
